Q: | Hi Daniel I'm just after some advice regarding Amazons. I am currently in the process of building some new suspended Amazon aviaries and was wondering in your opinion do they seem to have better breeding results when kept in adjoining aviaries next to their own kind or freestanding aviaries away from other birds? And if in adjoining aviaries do you recommend either a solid petition between or double wiring so that they are able to see their neighbours? Any information you could share will be greatly appreciated. Cheers Dan posted by: danielharris 10/23/2016 10:59:56 PM |
A: | Hi Dan, Generally the pairs need to have privacy at times of the year, so to be able to modify the flights visual line is ideal. Some pairs prefer the seclusion while a majority like to socialise most times of the year. Regards, Daniel |
Q: | Hi Daniel, I hope you are well. I wanted to inquire if you had a young hen White Fronted Amazon available?. I spoke with you a few months back and you had a (related pair) that I believe were parent reared and '14 bred and I cant remember if you were interested in splitting them or not. Just curious if you do have a hen (Albifrons Albifrons) and if you would consider selling her? I have a great '15 bred cock bird, now just looking for a hen to complete the pair - and hey you have a sale going so thought why not ask.
